Cellist
Peter Linder began playing cello at the age of four, using the Suzuki method. As a High School Junior he
decided to seriously dedicate himself to the instrument and began his studies with University of Illinois
professor Laurien Lauffman. The following year he began his studies with accomplished cellist Suren
Bagratuni, with whom he spent the next five years. He recently completed his Masters program at Colorado
State University, while studying with Barbara Thiem.
Peter has been a member of several professional ensembles such as the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra,
Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, and West Shore Symphony Orchestra. He has performed as a guest
artist with the Larimer Chorale and Front Range Chamber Players. Last spring he won the CSU concerto
competition and performed Schumann’s Cello Concerto with the Colorado State Symphony Orchestra. |
